Web design and build
A website built around how your business actually works, rather than your business rearranged to fit a template.
What "hand-built" actually means
No page builder. No theme with forty settings you'll never touch and a plugin for every one you will. The site is written directly, which is why it loads in about a second on an ordinary phone on ordinary data rather than three or four.
That matters commercially, not just technically. Most people who leave a slow site leave before they have seen anything at all — they don't bounce off your prices, they bounce off a blank screen.
It works for everyone
Built to WCAG 2.2 AA and tested against it, not just aimed at it. Proper colour contrast, a keyboard path through every control, labels a screen reader can announce, and text that survives being zoomed.
About one in five people has a disability of some kind. Ignoring that is both a business decision and, increasingly, a legal one.
You own all of it
The domain, the hosting, the code, the images, the accounts. Handed over at the end with the logins, and no part of it depends on continuing to pay me.
If you decide next year to move to somebody else, you can — and you'll be taking a working site with you rather than starting again.
What's included
- A written, fixed-price quote before anything starts
- Design you review before a line of it is built
- Every page tested on real phones, not just resized in a browser
- Search setup: titles, descriptions, structured data, sitemap
- Social share cards that render properly when someone posts a link
- Images compressed and sized so they do not hold the page up
- HTTPS, security headers, and spam protection on any form
- A handover with every login, and the site in your name
